Sending life-long multiplying disciples to Japan and the world!
This will be our Mission Statement for our nationwide campus ministry, starting from January 2007. God has also given us a new name "STUDENT IMPACT" for the campus ministry. Our desire is for university students to identify us as a group of people who seek to impact the world as we serve the people in Japan and the world. The name change is to reflect our mission more accurately & also to connect better with pre-Christian, even though officially as an organization, we are still known as Campus Crusade for Christ. |
Spring Retreat (March 21-23)
In preparation for the new academic year which is starting in April, we had a spring retreat attended by 14 Christian students at our own Mitaka Student Center. We ate and played sports together, listened to individuals' life stories, shared openly with one another, listened to messages on Spiritual Breathing (confess our sins and be filled with the Holy Spirit), looked at the evangelism lifestyles of Jesus and His disciples, reflected on our lives and confirmed God's vision in our lives. Before moving into the busy freshmen orientation period, we were able to come before the Lord individually to thank Him for His provision of friends and co-laborers and to be united with one heart seeking God's purpose.
Freshmen Class Outreach (Month of April)We will be working on freshmen class outreach in this year's freshmen orientation period (the academic year for Japanese schools start in Apr). We will enter these classes before lessons begin and introduce the activities of Student Impact as well as conduct a simple survey. This year, together with our students, 13 Japanese staff and 15 foreign workers, we will target our freshmen outreach on 12 campuses. Please pray that we will work effectively with the Lord's wisdom, and that God will use us to reach out to the 150,000 lost souls (freshmen) coming to Tokyo.
Toshi (Gakushuin University, 4th yr) |
Makato (Gakugei University, 3rd yr) |
On Apr 6, we attended Megumi's Japanese Elementary School Entrance Ceremony (the same local Japanese Elementary School as her older brother Elisha). Then on Apr 12, it was Hitoshi's Kindergarten Entrance Ceremony (the kindergarten that his sister Megumi used to attend). Thank God that both of them seem to be excited about their new school life.
