Special greetings to our fellow Chinese friends,
  新年主賜平安、恩典満満!
Since our last newsletter in Oct 2009, we have been swamped by many events! Thankfully, it's not all work and no fun. We are grateful that our family was able to make a road trip to Kyushu for our family getaway over the year-end period! We took off immediately the morning after we hosted an annual Christmas Party (Dec 25) for our Staff Family at our house. It was the longest car ride we have ever made (more than 1000km one way! & we drove more than a total of 3000km!) Right after our return from the road trip, we were again swamped into a series of meetings.

Dec 4 - Megumi's 1st Business venture attempt. Her handmade beads fetched a profit of 2000 yen!

Dec 6 - Weekend outing with Yeng Wai, Hil May & her family.

Dec 16 - Time with Mun Cheong & Lai Lai with family in their hotel room.

1. OUR KIDS' EDUCATION

Starting this April, Hitoshi (6+) will start Elementary School 1st grade in the same school as Elisha (6th grade) & Megumi (4th grade).
Please pray for Hitoshi's transition to life in Elementary School.

Over the years, many have asked us about our plan for our kids' education. After much prayer, discussion and consultation with various ones, we have decided to let our kids finish their elementary school education in the local public Japanese school before sending them to the Christian Academy in Japan ( http://caj.or.jp/ ) for middle & high school (in short CAJ was founded to serve the missionary communities although it has since evolved to a reputable International School well sought after by the local Japanese parents).
This decision to send them for International School is primarily to equip them with English language skills for their future.
Please pray for Elisha who will be taking an achievement test at CAJ this 31st of Mar even though our plan is to officially enrol him in Aug of 2011.

*Elisha cried the 1st night when Estella worked with him on some past years' paper & he found it too difficult but thank God, it has improved since then.

2. OUR FURLOUGH PLAN (from beginning of Jun to end of Aug, 2010)

YES!!! We are excited that we will be going back for furlough this year! (more details later)
We have gotten approval from the leaderships of our Home Church, JCCC & SCCC.
Please pray for wisdom to plan for a fruitful time of connection with our family members, Home Church, Ministry Partners & friends.
