The weather is turning cold. We are so glad that we survived the notorious hot & humid summer in Tokyo! And we are definitely grateful for the opportunity to be involved in various summer activities while we were here in Tokyo.

BUILDING BEYOND THE CAMPUS DAYS

In mid Aug, we took off to Sendai (northern part of Japan) for our summer vacation. We have been wanting to take the opportunity to visit 2 of our graduates, Koki & Fujio who have since married. In Feb'09, Koki was appointed the senior pastor of his church. They were both actively serving with us during their student days. Please pray for them as they provide leadership for the church and as they enter into parenthood.

*In early September, we were so privileged & honored when our graduates, Nozomu & Momoyo invited us to be witnesses for their wedding. Our relationship with them started way back when they were both actively serving with us during their students' days. They are currently elementary school teachers. Please pray for them as they are seriously praying about leaving their teaching career & joining full-time Christian ministry in the near future.

During Nozomu & Momoyo's wedding dinner reception, my family was designated the same table as Nozomu's church pastor. Patrick was sitting next to the church pastor & it was so heartwarming when the pastor expressed her appreciation for how she believe that Nozomu's involvement with Campus Crusade during his college days has helped set his foundation of faith & service in the church. It was as if God was using that moment to affirm us of our labor is not in vain. They are real examples of our labor in building life-long multiplying disciples beyond the campus days!

A new batch of short-term missionaries has arrived, ready to face the challenges of the new campus term which started in early October. We have also started to plan for the year end Christmas Outreach when Japanese tend to be more receptive to hearing the story of Jesus! So far, we have produced a Christmas music CD to target our Japanese college audience & climax with a concert scheduled on Dec 12 (Sat). Please pray for clarity & effectiveness of our Christmas outreach strategy.
